Is the Hibiscus flower, or rose mallow, an insect pollinated flower(Entomophilous) or a wind pollinated flower (Anemophilous)?? Please help meeeeee x]]]
Is the Hibiscus flower insect pollinated or wind pollinated?
Huge, colourful flower indicates it has an animal pollinator it needs to attract.
Long stamen could be because of bird pollination, but it also might be to prevent self fertilization.
But it definitely is not wind pollinated, so if these are the options, it is insect-pollinated.
Reply:It is Insect pollinated and has nectar gland close to the ovary to Attract insects
Reply:it is pollinated by wind, water, small birds and insects
Reply:wind pollinated because the stamen sticks out of the flower and anthers are long, no aroma
